WordPress, Web Development, Migration

## Overview

CoinGate is a cryptocurrency payment service provider, founded in 2014 and based in Lithuania — automated crypto payment processing and accounting for businesses of all sizes.

Its public site ran on a jamstack build. CoinGate engaged us to move it to WordPress. This is a company that has been live and trusted since 2014 — the migration had to happen without a visible seam.

## Challenge

A migration for an established company is judged on what doesn't break. CoinGate's site carried real traffic and a reputation earned over a decade; there was no room for the rollover to go wrong. The work was less invention than discipline — move everything, lose nothing, keep the site running as customers expected throughout.

## Approach

We worked alongside CoinGate's team for the whole migration, not at arm's length. The site was rebuilt on WordPress and cut over in close step with the people who run it — every decision made with their context, not our assumptions. On a rollover with no room for error, that was the discipline the job required.

## Outcome

The migration landed clean. CoinGate's site now runs on WordPress; a decade-old, live business changed platforms with nothing lost and nothing broken for the customers using it.
